The Sims 4: Bunnies & Small Pets EP - Another Pets EP

When Cats and Dogs released all of us were dissapointed to see that many features were not included in the game like in Sims: Unleashed, Sims 2: Pets and Sims 3: Pets. (The developers blame this on the Veterinary Careers, but thats just a small thing that cant take so much from an EP.)
With My First Pet SP we learned that the SimGuruCrew wanted to expand on the Cats & Dogs EP to add the stuff that they didnt include in the EP, but unfortunatelly they have chosen a worng way to do so. If they want to be able to expand our furry friends they should have added them in the base game, but thats too late. Then, today i came up with an idea: another Pets EP that would be its own thing and you wouldnt need C&D to use all its content.

BUT... HOW WOULD IT WORK?

We will have an entirely new Pet that is completely customizable in CAS just like our cats and dogs (and i am not talking about Horses, cuz they belong now to a Farming EP).
This new pet would be Bunnies/Rabbits. You can choose between a wide range of premade races or you can customize one yourself just like we can do with our cats and dogs in CAS. You can choose between large or small rabbits, floppy or erect ears, different types of fur and teeths. You can also paint them as you wish. There is also a bunch of different clothes that you can dress your rabbit, and if you have the C&D EP they will also fit you cats and dogs. The pet clothes from C&D will also fit the Rabbits.

This EP would include:

CAS:

  • Rabbits
  • New pet clothes.
  • New human haistyles and clothing.

Small Pets:
Birds: Blue Gold Macaw, Catalina Macaw, Cockatoo, Congo African Gray, Crow, Falcon, Spotted Sixam, Yellow Naped Amazon, Cardinal, Eastern Bluebird, Gold finch, Lilac Breasted Roller, Nuthatch, Parakeet, Pigeon, Owl
Lizards: Anole Lizard, Ancient Dragon, Gecko, Chameleon, Pygmy Komodo Dragon, Agama Lizard, Texas Spiny Lizard, Iguana
Rodents: Chinchilla, Squirrel, Shrew, Womrat, Chipmunk
Snakes: Yellow Python, Garter Snake, Emerald Tree Boa Snake, Malayan Krait Snake, Yellow Chondro Python, Scarlet King Snake, San Francisco Garter Snake, Iridescent Shieldtail Snake, Mini Python
Turtles: Barbour's Map Turtle, Spotted Turtle, Eastern Box Turtle, Indian Roofed Turtle, Red Eared Slider Turtle, Pygmy Tortoise, Spiny Turtle, Western Painted Turtle
Insects: Ants

Build & Buy:
Pet bathtub (similar to the pet bathtub from Unleashed) where you are going to be able to bathe your cats, rabbits and small dogs.
Pet houses where you rabbits can sleep, but if you have C&D installed your cats and dogs can sleep in them too.

NPC:
A animal trainer NPC which you can hire to train your rabbits, dogs and cats, if you dotn want to do that for yourself.

Gameplay:
Pet Shop Venue: You can go ot the Pet Shop to buy exclusive toys, small pets, rabbits, cats and dogs (if you have C&D installed) and more supplies for your pets. You can also own a pet shop where youre going to customize your pets to sell.
Animal Breeding Skill: With this skill your sim you learn to breed pets to sell. Learn to breed pets that have a beautiful fur, good behaviour and friendly traits or continue to be a layperson producing ugly and poorly behaved pets to sell to your awful neighbor.
Pet Jobs: Pets can have a job in three different careers, just like in Sims 2.

This is just some ideas i had, but of course it would have to include much more objects, interactions, clothes and etc... Tell me what you think about that and if you have more ideas, share with us and i will include them to the list.

  • If they're going to continue adding in EPs, then I say they should focus on adding in as many different kinds of themes for EPs instead of making more that focus on a theme they already made.

If anything, make this a patch, not an EP.
  • I think keeping rabbits on the sims 4 should be a lesson in keeping them too, there is a lot that goes into keeping Rabbits than just letting them sit in a cage. They need to chew. They need little outdoor play yards and things to stimulate them so they don't get bored. Some rabbits can do tricks, such as pretend to do a card trick where they go pick up a card from the deck. They can roll balls with their nose. They can leap over small obstacles.

Sometimes it is fun just to cut up a box for them to crawl around in.

They also like to dig and burrow.

Some bunnies like another bunny to cuddle with and interact with. Then some don't get along and will be territorial.

In the wild, a Mother bunny actually buries her young under light cover of grass. You can see a video of a Mother doing this and it looks really weird like she is burying them, but later she comes back to dig them up to nurse them. It is very dangerous for her to nurse her babies because it is a very vulerable time. So they only do it like once a day and they do it very fast. The baby bunnies have to nurse really fast or they don't get anything and they push at each other too.

There is also something called cecotropes that baby rabbits need to eat, which is their Mother's poop. They need a variety of foods but not too much of any one thing. Timothy Grass is good and then some treats and leafy greens. The sims should not give the wrong impression about Rabbits, but a good idea of what it is like to actually have them. Then it would be a good addition to the sims. Veteran owners already know most of this if they are a good owner and would probably appreciate the sims giving a good impression of what it is like to own them.

Rabbits though? People dress rabbits in real life?

    Yep, just Google it

I think that the Rabbits being the only one (instead of 2 like in cats and dogs, could help them being more detailed like you said. They are so cute when they are cuddling eachother haha

I would not complain if it was a free patch. haha
    But you know... EA...
I think that they can explore similar features in more than one pack. Sims 3 Late Night and Showtime both dealt with similar features and they were both good, supernatual also focused on things from the other expansion packs.

I think it's just a matter of increasing your point of view. This "Pets" pack doesnt need to be exactly similar to C&D, they can provide more things for the game within it, i just said in the post that i couldnt think anything more, but you know... Two heads think better than one!
