"There's no available counter space"

Hey,
So I moved into a new lot and when I tried to cook via the fridge or the stove I get the same error message. I've tried replacing the counter with different ones, I've tried removing the overhead cabinets, I've tried a different stove, everything. Someone please help with the issue. I don't want my Sims living off pizza.

But if my sims have nothing but CC on and I remove the CC won't it break the game or something?

Also rose, how do I just save the kitchen?

To save a room, go to build mode, click on a wall of the room, and the room will be outlined. Then press the little folder button on the bar on the top of the screen and there is an option to save the room

First though, try moving your whole mods folder to the desktop. Delete the cache files
    https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/delete-cache-files/
Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one item or batch in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.

The cc will only be removed whilst you are testing the game. Don’t save the game when testing. The cc will return after testing when you put your mods/cc back into the game if you make sure you don’t save the game whilst testing.

The only problem I had with it is that some of my Sims walk around with no pants or no hair, which is an easy enough fix, just a bit time consuming. But you can always make a backup save.
  • Hi
Hopefully you already solved it, just for others maybe looking.
I had the same issue, found out it was a mod called clutter your counters that was the culprit, so if you have that one it might work for you. ?

Same thing happened to me. I think the recent update solved my problems, that or re-enabling mods&script box in options menu.

Update 2/21/20: Turns out the problem was an override from either fridges, stoves, and/or clutter mods. Once you remove those, your gameplay is back to normal.
