Hello models and welcome to our very first judging panel!
Tonight we will score your photos, critique them, and cut one of you.
Let me first introduce our judges! We have Jojo & Alicia Bolton, established top models!
Let's begin the judging!
ANTONIO
Huh. I like the photo, but there than the hat I am not 100 on what is really western. I get more of a greaser vibe from the jacket. The jean color works though. If it was not for the hat and settings, would we know that this is a wild western photo?

This looks like the Scottish urban district with that tartan skirt! Nice job tying in your culture! I like the modern look of the hair style and your makeup but I wonder if the styling is a bit too 80s? The trend is a bit more high end and I feel like styling is a bit too urban urban and not high end enough. In terms if the styling that is. You look pretty, but I think it's lacking that designer edge it needed.

JAKE
This is SO good! The jacket is great, the styling is great! The only thing that I am not so pleased of is that pose! It's just standing there and I hate just standing there. It looks boring and you can do so much better. On another note your editing has improved quite wonderfully, especially from the first week!

OMARA
If you were doing the chrome theme or something space aged this would fit so perfectly. But for velvet? I really don't see it here. I think it is a very nice cohesive image with all the silvers and blacks and the space themed backdrop, but for velvet? Not so much :( silver probably isn't the best color to work with, as it looks too metallic.

RUBY
Ruby! Wie geht's Mädchen? You look much younger than last week haha. This is a simple photo but it says Vogue Paris and it shows off the trend so very nicely! It looks like these pieces might have come from Givenchy, Alexander Wang, etc. Would I say that it's your most creative or best image ever? No, but still it's a wonderful job!! Gut gemacht! :)

Okay let me just say first that I think your man here looks absolutely gorgeous. I was first drawn into your picture by his expression. His eyes almost look a little innocent and his expression comes off a little serious. I liked it straight away. His style is gritty and definitely western! The grimy jeans, and open jacket and the hat … spot on here hun I like that added a little ‘cowboy man skin’ in this it brings an element of sexy to your picture that I really find appealing to the shot. Just a pity we couldn’t see his boots. In the future perhaps proportion him down a little smaller and move him further back in the picture to fit him in. It would have just made the picture that little bit better. Your background looks animated which goes well with your sim, sometimes an animated background vs real background goes way better! So great choice. The darkening at the bottom of the camera was probably not needed … but his shadow is great. Hats off!

She definitely has the street chic look going on doesn’t she? Her actual style is colourful and eclectic too … but she has that rough around the edges look as well which comes off as a real good street style. The layers of your style go well together. You have colours that match in well and materials that bring a lot of texture to her clothing too. I think your background is a great choice for this challenge because it puts her exactly where she is supposed to be. Looks like some back alley in the hood. I think her pose looks really sassy for this picture also, the little hip pop gives attitude and the ‘I don’t care hand’ gives the picture a great vibe! Your cut is quite good and the quality follows as well … the background is a tad blurry in sections but not a big deal. I noticed that you added a drop shadow on your model. Remember drop shadows are great if your model is standing against something, check out a shadow tutorial or hit me up to give you a hand in learning to achieve one in the future. Well done.

SO let me first just say that jacket is bad as! I absolutely loved it. After watching the vogue runway and seeing that jacket you definitely hit the nail on the head with the puff runway idea So well done for that. Your colour co-ordination your picture is spectacular, browns, ambers and white … which brings a beautiful appeal to your photo as well. So the thought process with composing this photo has been well executed. While the ‘puff daddy theme’ would seemingly go well with your background theme because of the nature of the jacket … but he looks really swaggy for the winter forest. This boy needs to be in a club or waiting in line outside of a trendy night club. But other than that, your style is great, your man is definitely on point in the way of sexy and the quality and cut of your picture is top notch. I haven’t seen much of your work around lately … but omg you have improved leaps and bounds hun …Well done I’m so proud of you.

This theme was possibly a hard one. I think you made the best of it with that jacket alone. It looks velvet and it has a bit of a disco fever vibe to it. I think that the pants were a little bit of a miss with the outfit. There are a few too many different blacks and silvers and whites to give her outfit a real pop! The hair kind of clashes a little with her jacket as well if you see what I mean. I think a really simple top and pants with that awesome jacket would have done the velvet theme justice. I think the background is good … it reminds me of a disco! But unfortunately the picture doesn’t have a lot of depth to really bring my attention to it. She doesn’t connect with the camera much (looking off to the side) I think an active pose here would have been really really good. Or a dancing one. I think your cut is good, and your overall quality is nice too. Be careful with tricky hairs (ones that are hard to cut) Other than that, nice job.

She almost looks a little sweet to be a biker chick. She needs some tats or piercings or … maybe some fish nets or something. She does have a good style though. Some all black fashion and leathers, she definitely has the style going on! I think she needed another colour in there to break up all the black. Maybe a red or a white shirt or something? Black bike, black clothes, black makeup … see what I mean? I like her pose … she has a little sass going on and some attitude with the leg up on the bike. I think a serious brow would have made her face bring a more biker look. It’s her beautiful face that gives her away (that’s she’s lovely and innocent) the background isn’t bad. I think a night scene would have been good for her light tones (just my opinion) I think your cut and your quality is pristine and nicely done. Nothing really bad to report here, you rocking it girl.

Wow, Antonio looks good. I think you could have done better on the graphics, I don't know if it's the custom content or the overall graphics. I just think it looks a little too grainy, and a little "dirty". I also think you failed a little at the trend you chose. I think you took it a little too literal, and maybe old school. The trend wasn't to dress like a cowboy, but to take inspiration from the wild west and incorporate into modern pieces of clothing.

I think you did well! Asha looks very 90s London underground. I think the problem for me is that when I looked at these trends, I didn't see anything that resembled this. Even though the trend is called "street success", I think you might have taken it to literal, and gone from the runway trend to actual streetwear. I think you could have toned it down, maybe used a more modern look. The background you chose is very nice, but a little grainy, so you could have maybe used a similar but better quality background.

Wow I like this one! I think you have totally nailed the graphics, so to me it's a great quality entry! Jake looks very handsome. I like the background with the sun, it really looks good. I do think lots of the "Puff Pieces" trends was more vibrant, cool and hip than the style you chose, so my advise for you is to dare to be bold and unique. A big overall trend in 2016 is mixing up the genders, so I wish you had gone for a more creative and androgynous look. Love then turtle neck btw!

This was one of my favorite trends, but I'm sorry to say that I didn't quite see the connection here. I don't really see anything velvet here, and if I have to guess it would be the jacket? I do think it's hard to do that particular trend in The Sims because the texture of the velvet is so hard to do when you're creating custom content. I do also think the outfit as a whole looks very.. "un-elegant", it looks similar to what a person could wear to school, and for a magazine cover I'm not sure if that works. I think the background is a little too much for my taste.

Wow. I really like this one! I really like the pose and the expression Ruby has. I think it was a smart choice to use the leather jacket, since that was present in almost all the looks from the Biker chic trend. The top is to die for, and I appreciate you using that as I also saw a lot of see through tops on the catwalk. I think you could have added some color to the outfit, maybe a printed skirt or something. I like the background, clean and simple, and you really made it work with the bike. It's also a very good quality entry with clean lines and good graphics.
