Yes, I'd also like the option to turn them off

Honestly you would think this would be an option to begin with. There's a mod for this I believe it's Reduced Townie Generating, not that you should need a mod..

And that’s the thing, I don’t really like using mods or CC.

I hope devs do something about this because these townies are so annoying. I just want to delete them and end the creation of them in my game :|

Townies still need to be generated to fill NPC roles, so unless we can easily give NPC roles to created Sims, cutting off townie generation completely would not be the greatest option. Unless you don't mind your games to be bare and seeing the same Sims all the time. I'd rather they expanded upon townie generation, with much more variance and household structure than the sad excuse for the system now. Though, I've gotten a lot of great Sims that were once townies.

I guess you’re right.

I just wish they wouldn’t socialize with my pre-made sims.

Yes please I'm so tired of ugly townies spawning if I have enough to fill the basic jobs that need done I see no point in spawning more.

I wish the game would use the townies I fixed up, no it generates these uglies and I have to delete them.

We just need an option that says “Populate Townies ON/OFF” simple o:)

This is so sweet that developers did care about people who do not want create a lot of own sim and fill their world with randoms.
But why they did not care about those who wish to have only own sims?!
I wish to turn off randoms, especial for service and work places.
Hope they will add this option.
