Transportation system

It’s very possible for EA to create a transportation system within the loading screens. Look at Sims 2 for example. I took the time to think of some interactive ideas that would be a big improvement from the previous transportion systems in Sims 2 & 3.

Cars

Animation: allow cars to drive down a street before exiting into the loading screen, then reappear on a different street, entering into a lot (eg. Sim backs out/ forwards out of driveway, drives down street, loading screen, reappear in another street, pulls into a lot (gas station, a park). For Sims that live in an apartment: park into parking garage or park by curb. Sims can also store cars in their storage.

Car Moods (moodlets appear): feels happy in good condition, when cleaned, repaired, re colored, when ridden, when Sims pose with it, when sold to sim, when showed off to other Sims, happy it provided a space for love making, playing music, after driving fast in a race, after winning a race,

Feels sad/angry/disgustedwhen left in parking space or garage for too long, sold off from sim family, lose a street race, needs repairs, when egged, bird pooped or peed on. Exhausted when driving long distances, needs gas or oil, when dirty, violated from sim woohoo, repossessed

Car Interations: racing down the street—making donuts in a open dirt field and gain street cred points and status, woohoo, blasting music in a parking lot, Sims posing by or on car, Sims sliding across front hood, Sims sitting on top of car, Sims sleeping in car, cats sleep on top of car or dogs pee on car, Sims honk on horn, Sims cleaning car in the driveway or by curb, teens drive practice in a parking lot and down a street, Sims repairing car (broken engine, brakes, needs new tires or doors, dead battery, a rubber duck and a baby rattle stuck in the pipe), Sims adding gas or changing oil in car, check on car status meter or gauge (click on car to check on car’s condition and mood), Sims can re color cars, Sims can place items in trunks, Sims place bikes, surf board or luggage on top of car rack, Sims can hook wagons onto for extra storage, Sims can hook rv trailers onto car, car repossessed

Rv trailers: Sims can live in rv trailers or use it for traveling or camping. Players need a car for trailers for transport, players can customize, rearrange, delete or add, similar to apts, inside of trailers using build/buy mode. Players have the option to buy from low end trailers with only a seating area and a pull out bed to a high end trailer with two levels and a mini pool or hot tub on top of trailer.

Sims interactions with other Sims: Sims gloating/bragging about their cars, Sims wishing for a certain car brands, Sims creating clubs for cars, Sims egging cars, Sims can put up a for sale sign on car and enlist their cars online for sale, Sims can sell good cars or bad ones, Sims get ripped off on a bad car deal (car had plastic wheels on that looked real), Sims research on good and bad cars online, read newpaper or by going to dealership, Sims can auction cars at car shows, pay for car bills(insurance)-gas/oil change and repair so

Lots: Automated car wash lot, mechanic shop, parking lots, car show, car dealership, gas station, skate parks,

Content: parking lines, parking bars, pre made driving practice course set completed with orange cones arranged for your teens to practice in (can be placed on any open field or parking lot), bike lock rack, indoor bike wall rack, coolers, drivers liscene and permit, car tool table, garage doors, car accessories: cat ears, devil horns, sim plum on top of car, bumper or windshield stickers.

NPC car service: pizza car, repair truck, tow truck, moving van, police car, firefighter truck, ambulance, repo car

Smaller transportation: motorcycle, bikes, motor scooters, kid scooters, mini cars for kids and toddlers (only in parks or open field lots) skateboards (child-elder), hoverboards,

Metro System in city living bonus: For real city living, Sims can opt for metro transportation. Sims can use metro stations as hangout spots and can find other musicians playing, hobos or buskers chilling at each station. Each district would have one underground station and each will vary in cost of transportation. For example, uptown neighborhood would cost an extra $2 more than the spice market costing only $5. Sims can add money on their metro cards by going to the kiosk in the station. Each district station will look different and have different advertisement posters, advertising the festivals, residential, apts and community lots. For example, the art quarter station might have graffiti and artistic designs on walls advertising it’s Cabash gallery lot, available apts or penthouse listings and posters of its upcoming festival. The uptown station would look high modern and techy advertising its high end apts and stargazer lounge.

Animations and interactions: Sims walk down stairs into underground station-No loading screen-Sims/player click on kiosk to add money and swipe metro card to apply money onto card. Sims can engage with other Sims waiting on metro train. Sims can engage with hobos, musicians or buskers. Other metro trains passing by station. Sim player select metro track-options to different metro station locations appear-sim player choose location-metro appears-other Sims get off and walk into metro train as well a sim player’s sim-metro trains departs-loading screen appears-metro train arrives at other station-Other sims and sim player’s sim walks off metro train.
