What aspect of The Sims 2 would you like to bring back to The Sims 4?

  • Short-term and long-term relationships were great. And the fact they could be one-sided.

Also, new and unique animations. They are soooo lacking in the Sims 4, I want more. All chatting options are basically the same.
  • wants and fears. especially the fears

and memories though id like option of deleting and adding my own actually cause well ive played my save for quite a bit and lot of things have already happened for my sims sooo they shouldn't just have memory loss about things

i also would really like neighborhood albums

it be cute if you could use own screens and stuff

but in that case id love to have separate folder or something so it doesnt show every screen ive taken in the game lately and does not require me to keep screenshots in screenshot folder cause that sounds like endless annoyance

i also wouldnt mind some cas cause i have quite many ts2 premades in my game aaand turn off/turn ons thing

Well, household bios exist in the game. But other things, no.

There also was a memory system where you can take pictures and associate them as memories. Then you can open the memory album that only shows pictures that are sim's memories, write descriptions to them, set emotions and have sims reminiscence them to get that emotion.

But patch before Get Together ruined it all. Yes, you can still associate pictures as a memory, but you'll have to find it among all the other pictures you've taken and the emotion is set automatically, so be prepared to have a picture of loved one's death set as a happy memory.

I have always wanted back that old memory system or a even better memory system.
I have also made a idea discussion on how sim bios could be brought back: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/985726
  • Out of those either the point based personality system or the family album.

But what I really enjoy a lot when playing Sims 2 is how every household is its own self-contained save file. Leave the Brokes at Sunday, 11:30, first day of winter, when you return it'll still be Sunday, 11:30, first day of winter. When I play ten households for five days each, Sims 4 assumes fifty days have passed, while in truth only five days should have passed (events in the five households would have happened simultaneously).

(Ah, sorry, I just read in the other thread that you meant features that are actually possibly in the Sims 4 engine. In this case my vote would go to either of the above, point based or family album.)
  • Wants and fears need to return along with an attraction system. I also want hobbies back, but it would take an actual hobby pack to make it happen. We're lacking in the hobbies department. Sims 2 Free Time was amazing, but there were cool things to do in every Sims 2 pack. I also really wish Sim reactions were unique to the Sim. Right now, every single Sim is scared of thunder and lightning. Every single sim feels embarrassed by the same things. Our kids never get excited about their grades improving or upset when their grades drop. And so on. They always tell us animation is expensive, but I'm getting tired of hearing that excuse.
