What CAN be done to fix TS4?

I seriously agree about the socialize at work/school option. That's how I would have my sims meet people in TS3. And they would keep their friends as well.
It was nice having my child and teen sims meet someone at school and bring them home. Also, that's an easy way to meet one's future spouse is at school. I was playing one of my households and my female teen came home with a "Flirtatious school day" buff and I was wondering who flirted with her. She hadn't met anyone new, so it seemed kind of pointless.
