For me I'd like to see the game re-entering the sandbox direction that it used to have. It used to be so cool to play The Sims, because you could just do everything you wanted. You had so many options. And every iteration before The Sims 4 expanded on that. In The Sims 4 it's more about "What can you do?", and when we do get new features and stuff to do it's poorly executed.
I would not like an online direction. I think there are already many games that tackle that and from what I've read, we could never have a good online basegame (since TS4 was supposed to be an online game but that failed).
And VR, idk, I would probably never buy something like that. It could be cool, but not really my jam.
