What a fun project for you! I also enjoyed seeing the pictures of your family farm, as well as the TN cabin.
I also think it will be fun for you to run a trading post as a home business. That's a cute idea. Yes, we can't prepare food on a table so there is only so much you can do to depict this time in your game. Hopefully, the ability to cook with others, including children now, will aid in the feeling of life back then.

Thank you for responding with some very kind words. I've only actually known I was in direct lineage with this family for less than ten years. Prior to that I thought he was just a very nice uncle on the side. Nope, he's my 6th times great-grandfather. That's huge.
