- I selected CAS. I struggle getting a male Sim to look like they need to shave. Without using CC, the options for stubble look like someone has rubbed charcoal on their face. The default beards have a very sharp leading edge, so they appear to be just held on with something rather than grown naturally.
I'd be very keen to see some more "greying" options for elders, I suppose a good example of what I mean is that stretchy guy from the Fantastic Four. The greying temple hair. Oh, or Doc Strange, he has that sort of silver fox vibe.
EDIT:
I think I'd be happiest with some more skin masks that have a more 'weathered' look to a guy's face. I have friends I've known for over 20 years that I can't model reasonably in the Sims because they were unfortunate enough to have quite serious acne during their late teen years. This has left them with scarring which isn't that bad, but the smooth-faced Sims just can't get close.
For reference, the actor Robert Davi (bad guy in the James Bond flick License to Kill), Benedict Wong (actor in various Marvel movies), Jared Harris (Foundation series, Chernobyl series). - Babykittyjade3 years agoSeasoned AceI need a man pack because I need ALL of the above! Clothes, activities and anything else! Body hair was a good start but it was only a start. I know they try hard to make everything gender neutral now days but to have some much needed manly things as well won't take away from that. Plus girls or anyone else could still take part ?
I imagine most of my sims to be the rough tough manly werewolf type but at the end of the day they are knitting socks ? - Kimmer_one3 years agoSeasoned AceIn my opinion they don't need to look "good". I don't want models or trendy males. I just want them to look decent... like adult MEN, not teenagers or fashionistas.
I'd also LOVE a manly garage pack or any manly pack, my male Sims are tired of being ignored in this game. - I love playing as men and I have to agree they have it badly compared to the women in CAS. For starters, more facial hair options is always desired. The game only has like what, five different types of mustaches? Where is my walrus mustache? Or my exaggeratedly long handlebar mustache? The beard options is very lacking too, there's no extreme beard or goatees without a mustache. You know it's saying something when Saints Row IV has a better facial hair customization than The Sims 4 does.
- Honestly, I would like to see more for men in general. I want normal clothes and hair options that won't look out of place on an ordinary guy. I want to be able to decorate a home for my families with BB items that aren't overly girly or cutesy and I want a greater range of careers. I've had to use the part-time job option for one of my families because I want to keep him as a manual worker. It'd be nice to see careers like bus/taxi driver encorporated into the game and perhaps a hobby like car-repair or something like we had in TS2.
I feel that the game right now is very much aimed at a certain area of the market which is why there's a lot of focus on 'trendy' content which has the YA females in mind. - men sims lack "presence", let me explain, the animations overall are too childish and usually don't fit how a sim i make would behave. this is not exclusive to men, i'd love women sims to have more elegant and serious animations too. i think this game is in desperate need of new animations for a bunch of stuff, and we could choose them kinda like how we can choose the way our sims walk
