That chapter is the perfect example of how fast news gets around in a small town. Now, Cam and Angie will have to go as far away from Willow Creek for their date, or else they won't have a peaceful evening. Maybe Tartosa ;).
@SweetieWright_84 I've always envisioned my version of Willow Creek to be that kind of place: where everyone knows everyone, and where people always seem to know what their neighbors are up to. I grew up in an environment like that, so it's natural for me to write about it, along with all the wonderful and not-so-wonderful things about such a place.
Z and I envision another neighborhood or two in Willow Creek, off the map, so to speak. That's where the families of some of the Young Adults in our story live. Tim Horton, Elisha and Kaleigh Scott, Chase Dornan, and Tommy and Rosalind Geiger all grew up in these neighborhoods. I'm fairly certain Wren Covington is a Willow Creek girl, too; I'll have to ask Z about that one.
We might have to roll for the destination of Cam and Angie's date. The chaos that might ensue if Cameron tries to take her to the Willow Café or the Willow Creek Family Park could be hilarious. Cam's neighbors might butt in if they pick a dinner at the Rustic Sails Seafood Company.
Tartosa is indeed an inviting option. Right now, there are no people there, but that's about to change. ;)
I grew up in a very small town too, less than 500 people. It really was like that. You could tell your neighbor something and before you could get to the post office, people were asking you what was going on. It was crazy. Now, I live in another small town, not as small as my hometown though.
I'm sure wherever the dice choose, it will be a perfect date.
