Thanks, @rosemow ...I think if there are no tables upstairs, they could sit down and eat something they brought... in a restaurant if they had tables the other guests of the restaurant would be assigned to some probably. There is no way you could keep them all out anyway. Either way, it may be okay to leave it at type of layout and people can experiment or make changes as needed. I'm most interested in seeing if there are possibilities at all for that. If I made a 'cake table' perhaps I should not add a cake to it so that someone would be able to bring one and use the table?
Simmers who download the lot could use it in the way that best suits what is happening in their game, and whether they want to hold social events there or have it just as a restaurant. It would be best to leave the cake table empty before uploading the lot.
That sounds good to me. I was just thinking that I'd like it to be set up so people had some options like that, even as a restaurant, in case they wanted it. I was also thinking that it was silly for me to list as a restaurant if there's no way for sims at the restaurant to use the upstairs for anything when the lot was a restaurant. I just have little to no experience on the 'throw an event' type of thing, and even if I do some experimenting it will be limited compared to others who've done it a lot. Does that make sense?
