Why Hotels NEED To Be The Next New Lot Type We Recieve

Idk about anyone else, but I am a gameplay Simmer, not as much a storyteller. So, I like my sim being able to do many things. For comparison, with TS3, I can make a sim of any interests or background and I will have fun doing whatever lifestyle I chose for them because there are so many objects and options for said interest or lifestyle. With TS4, I can only play certain types of sims/storylines without getting bored, but I will get to that point eventually as playing the same stuff gets repetitive. I mostly do families with 2-3 kids who have a farm, or do city-life with someone or multiple in Uni. And the other main thing is making them go on vacations to all the worlds so i set them up with restaurants and many bars/arcades (i use alot of mods/cc).

The open travel for worlds is great, but i like realism, so i don't want them in cali at 10am and in Japan and back in cali by 10 pm, so i do mini or long vacays to enjoy each world at a time. BUT, there is no real travel experience when making sims go on vacay. They basically get an AirBNB or a second home (though owning vacation homes would also be cool). We really could use a new resort lot type that can be used in many different ways, like how the new rental apartments are being advertised.

You can make quant B&Bs, high-rise city resorts, resorts on the beach, many options. And getting to use them as guests or owning one yourself is necessary IMO. The game offers lots of travel, yet no real travel experience. Souvenir shops, casinos, hotels with their own functioning restaurants and spas. This game is missing some really fundamental lot types, and it kinda sucks having to wait since it's been running more than 2x the amount any of the previous games did haha.

Sorry for the rant. I do like TS4, which is why I am critical and get frustrated with it. Also I am hoping as a b-day present the sims team announces the livestream this week pls and thank u B)

If they add hotels then I hope they also add an interaction to some of the neighbourhood deco means of transportation similar to how they did for Deadgrass island boat. The little steamboat in Magnolia Promenade comes to mind and the train in Mt. Komorebi.

I would like that as well. I like the random little bits of interactive scenery in worlds. It adds more immersion, which this game really needs. I didnt even know that boat was interactable until a couple of years ago haha.

Hotels and travel-related themes make a lot of sense for the game. It would even be cool to have airports and cruise ships, personally.

I do have a resort that I use for my sims at Key Point in Sulani. I built my own resort that I send my sims to because I got impatient. I don't have guests outside of my own groups but I have various rooms and can send different families there, staying in different rooms. The multi-use function would be important for hotels because they usually have bars and restaurants.

I also hope for hotels next, along with a base game update for multipurpose lots, so we could have functioning bars, restaurants, vendors, spas, gyms, lounges or shops in those hotels (and in other combination on any communal lot). I would hope it comes with a fantastic world, but given the choice I'd rather have fantastic gameplay in all world than one another smallish world that doesn't offer anything than pretty scenery and rabbit holes.

In a hotel pack I hope they do think about crosspack combability. There should be milestones connected to travelling (or owning businesses like hotels), midlife-crisis that makes a sim wish to go travelling and see new things, social-bunny posts about travelling that doesn't refer to coming back home but actually being away...

Yesss! A new aspiration maybe for 5-star resort owner, or the ultimate traveler where you go to a hotel in like 5 different worlds or something or travel for a certain amount of days and use special amenitities.

I use a mod for "multi-function" lots, but it only does so much cause i can't make like a retail/restaurant, it only auto-hires vendors for certain things like barista, bar, DJ, etc.

We absolutely need major cross-pack compatibility with more packs with it and also i'd like a more in-depth hotel review system, like TS3 had or like how it seems the new residential rental lots are getting.

I'd love to e able to make motels,hotels,and inns,and I'd also love to have a multi-purpose community lot(which should of been in the base game). Just think of how much gameplay could open up with hotel-type lots,multi-purpose community lots and game arcade lots.

I would love all of this. I have sims at Twikkii Island in hotel currently, made me realise how much I miss those in this game :)

I would love hotels and resorts Where my sims can either relax or go on an adventure. Like in Sims Bon Voyage they had souvenirs, clothing, either relax or explore the world, talk to the locos.
