Nah. Kids, before they age up to teen, look like preteens anyway. Close enough. Too many fine gradations, each needing their own set of clothing options and everything else, makes a byzantine messy soup of a game that can't even get around the mindless puppet personality problem enough to have actual gameplay value consistent with what made The Sims great in the first, second, and third place.
More stages, more clothing, more furniture...none of it can change the big problem which is that the Sims in Sims4 are marionettes.
Adding, in response to a point someone brought up, that they need preteen activities...isn't that what Scouts and Drama Club are? What, in addition to Scouting or Theater, plus other options like piano and violin, art, and science, are they missing out on?
