[AA] Can't Trade for New Collectables

It's impossible to complete the Cool Kid On The Block aspiration. Everyone in my entire family has an endless amount of collectables in their inventory but I can't find the Trade for New Collectable interaction for anyone. This has to be a bug are an enormous flaw. Everyone in my family has flowers and fish and crystals and mysims figures and those eggs and i know for a fact they don't have everything registered in their collections so they should be able to trade for something new.
If Collectables are in anyway different from things to collect toward Collections in our Notebooks I'm going to be incredibly confused.
