See I've tried that too, but the buff shows up almost all the time and it lasts so long and it's also really strong. My other buffs run out before I can get my sim to be inspired and not energized. It makes it so much harder and I actually had a child sim age up before I could complete it even though he's supposed to be really creative. I'm glad it's not affecting you like it is me but it's to the point that if I want my child sim to do the aspirations where you need to be inspired or focused I have to change their trait because it makes it nearly impossible for me.
RoseMillsap, have you tried using lot traits too. Certain lot traits also help with the inspired emotional moodlet. I am going to predict it is how you are playing the sim. Because emotional states are way too easy to manipulate in-game. Have you tried to buy a reward from the rewards store, even if it is using the parents reward points. There is a drink there for an instant inspired buff that can help overpower it. Sometimes you need to stack inspired buffs with the multiple ways it allows in-game to achieve it.

Yeah I always set lot traits to the most useful for what I’m doing. Good ideas for trying to overpower the buff so thanks for that. However I fear you’re both missing the point, the personality trait that correlates to creativity shouldn’t make it harder to be creative. That’s the main point of my post.

Active does equal energized. Have you tried to click on the sim to play pretend to combat it? I have my child sims play pretend or even play pretend while on playground equipment quite often. It gives them a reason to get more inspired and I think it can help speed up the countdown for the energized moodlet. it kind of like how jogging can do the same for teens and up speeding up the countdown for the energized moodlet.

Yeah I have them play pretend, I think that animation is super cute. But an active imagination is different from being active, having an overactive/active imagination is a creative thing like playing pretend or wanting to create things. Being an active person is a physical thing like enjoying working out or going on walks.
