Annoying popups for the new kits

When starting the game in online mode, ever since the last patch I have to click away a popup that advertises Goth Galore. This isn't helpful.

If it's a kit I want anyway, like Goth Galore, the popup isn't magically giving me the money to buy it immediately.

If it is a kit I'm neutral about, like the castle one, constant popups will turn that into a negative feeling, resulting in a purchase getting more unlikely everytime I see that popup.

So, please stop. All you're achieving is me returning to offline play.

  • That’s astonishing that they’re already trying to sell For Rent with a discount, two months after release! Has that ever been done with a new EP before?

I picked up batuu about two months after release at a Halloween sale. That was even 50% off. That the only time I can remember.
  • OK, so maybe it does happen from time to time and I just never knew - or wasn't interested and so ignored it.

Online notifications are off. Surveys not because I want to take those rare opportunities where EA actually asks feedback through a survery.

Yeah just wondering if maybe its mistakenly categorized as survey or something
cause if it was turning those off could be temporary fix at least

from screenshot it does look like that pop up is definitely from the game not the app
so changing app settings probably wouldn't change a thing either

even though I looked at the app settings
and there is these settings we can't turn off which is ridiculous to say the least ?

I really hope they are not overloading the game with ads again
I hated that with ts3 and it definitely doesn't make me want to buy anything
maybe the opposite, out of spite. I always feel like boycotting anything that is overly advertised to me
its so strange that companies keep thinking thats a good idea

like wee let us overload this gamers screen with ads
I am sure she will continue to love this game she cannot play in peace and buy it all

    wat
  • I recommend keeping most of the options in EA App Settings off to avoid popups.

Have never seen an EP on sale this soon after release. That suggests that sales are not good, so they are trying to stir up a buying frenzy. Not working for me. Too niche and waaaay too broken.
  • I've got Origin and have been getting a popup ad for Parenthood every time I start the game for the last week or two.
  • I have almost all packs except Bust The Dust, Horse Ranch, and For Rent. Why not everything? Well, since they made the color wheel in EP04 Cats & Dogs an exclusive tool tied to pets? I started to buy packs on sale. I'm at a point where I'm no longer willing to pay for half-baked content at the full price. In recent years, there have been massive issues with the new EA Launcher on release dates! In particular, given the high number of bugs? For me? No longer acceptable. However, I'm not willing to pay full price for a bunch of bugs. The new EA Launcher has been plagued by massive issues on release dates. The amount of bugs within the newer packs is no longer tolerable. Dine Out is still not fixed, for that matter. For those reasons? There are too many bugs and massive issues with the EA Launcher, to justify paying the full price. (especially on release dates)

The fact is, I'm only willing to buy the packs on sale. I'm very patient now, lol. It's not worth it with all the issues those packs provide on the release date, and I don't want to add more problems to my game. In the end, to sum it up:
The ads constantly remind me why I don't want to buy it :D

If they provide quality instead of quantity and way fewer bugs - fix their launcher, and add a gift option to the EA App, then they would not need to force us to buy their packs. ;) :D

But I admit, I find those pop-up ads extremely intrusive and very much annoying. Makes me feel annoyed on a daily base. Ea forces those ads on us! I don't mind seeing such ads on the main page, but forcing me to click it away? Every freakin' time is quite intrusive, plus it doesn't help to see EA in a better light - not in the slightest. :# :/ That's how my brain as an end consumer works - it's that simple :D :) B) However, I wish I could turn that intrusive pop-up off. • Right? Like I just want to play my game in peace. If I had the money, I would have already bought them, but I don't.
