Body Hair

Why is something that wasn’t standard from the get go set as on as default and has to be switched off every.single.time.you.make.a.sim? Ten years of playing and now I have to remember to turn off body hair.

why do I have to shave my arm and legs separate. There are women on this team, yes? Could we maybe speak to one about shaving in real life. We don’t take 500 showers to shave each body part separately, do y'all have sisters and female partners and do you interact with them in any way at all? What are you doing? I don’t even want shaving as an option in game at all let alone have gorilla thickness as the default setting.

    Totally agree with you on this one. I play legacy so most of the other family members are ones I don't actively play anymore but they still have kids due to neighbourhood stories and one of the game generated girls has so much body hair it's crazy, chest and back hair and both arms and legs too. I don't want to have to go into every household and take them all into cas to check if they're hairy or not. It evens happens sometimes when my played female sims age up and all of a sudden they've got chest hair just because they're a young adult now 🤨 same as you I would prefer body hair to be 'off' as default not the other way round.

    Agree with you totally. All the body hair is annoying especially if you forget to turn it off.  I wish it wasn't set to on by default too.

    I also want to switch this feature off. I dislike having to load in the cas and turn it off over and over and over again. This is a part of real life I simply don't need in a simulation.

    I know this needs to be remedied by EA as a whole, but if you use mods, there is Shaving Tweaks that allows sims to shave everything at once. 

    From the mod description:

    Adjusts Shaving Times: The time it takes for Sims to shave different areas is now more balanced. While the duration still depends on the amount of hair growth, shaving larger areas like legs will now take longer than shaving smaller areas like the face.

    Introduces Two New Interactions: Adds "Shave Body Hair" and "Shave Body Hair to Preferred Length" interactions. Both options are designed to take the maximum amount of time, as they involve shaving the entire body (excluding facial hair). Both options are fully translated.

    Optimizes Shaving Priority: Shaving now occurs at the start of a shower rather than at the end, perfect for players who want their Sims to quickly get in, shave, and get out
