Wants and fears are not gonna be ok for me. I was so used to whims! Turning them off wouldn't be right for me, I just am connected to whims. Maybe make an option button to enable and disable whims and wants and fears respectively. The image of Humiliated Sakuya has whims, that's what I want to see. I don't need to see Shion stay on the lot for 8 hours or be alone, I want whims.

I've wanted the wants & fears at first but now i prefer the whims over the wants and fears because it's so poorly made
The Sims 2 did this a lot better
Both whims and wants & fears can still be optional so we can switch it off
Some wants wants & fears while the others wants the whims back so it's a win-win
Now i hope we can convince them to have whims back again
That's your opinion because some people (including me) wants the whims back again
But i do know a solution with this
Some people can toggle the wants & fears on while others can toggle whims on
It's a win-win for both parties
If people don't want either of them they can toggle it off alltogether!
That should be the solution in my opinion!
I also prefer whims to wants and fears because sometimes you fix a fear and then the sim ends up more anxious.

Sure you can disable the wants & fears but then the wants will dissapear too and i don't want that
So an ideal one is to have whims back as a comeback so you won't have to face fears this way
Ever since some people wants the wants & fears, the solution is to have a toggle on/off options for both parties so that can be a win-win situation (and for people who doesn't want either of them they can disable them both alltogether, similar to lifestages aging up)
almost 3 years after your post, the wants and fears are still a mess, not gonna lie, we need the whims back, sure it may be simple but atleast they didn't messed the whims up like they did with wants and fears
like you said: it can be optional so neither completely dissapears
i understand if wants & fears and whims combined will becomes a mess and clashes with each other rather than helpfull but we should have a toggle on/off options so we can switch things and it will be usefull for people who wants whims and others who wants wants and fears so it will be a win-win for both parties
and of course a option to turn both off for those who doesn't want neither of them
