I bought the Bust the Dust kit, but I've been playing an off the grid family. They don't have electricity so they can't use vacuums. So, they've been living in a very dirty house.
Could a broom be added to the kit? Or they could repurpose those in Realms of Magic? If they can fly, I bet they could swish too.
N.B. Yes, I could cheat or turn the dust off, but seriously, there should be at least a broom.

I still don't understand why dust does not function the same as laundry.
You only get laundry if you put stuff for washing on the lot, so you also should only get dust if you put a vacuum cleaner (or hopefully in the future a broom too) on the lot. I would not mind the flying and sweeping brooms to be different objects though so sims won't get a dusty house because they are a mage.
There should be both a functional broom and the ability to control dust by placing Bust the Dust items (or not), the same as Laundry Day. This would make the kit infinitely better. As it is, it's one of the only kits I've never bought for these very reasons.
Also seems like it takes longer to get rid of the dust with a vacuum cleaner than if sims just clean it up without that.
