[BY DESIGN] Science Career - asked to invent same devices

I'm doing the science career and I've been asked to invent the 'simray' four times and the 'momentum conserver' three times. I just installed this 2 days ago, so I presume all updates have been added via Origin.

Anyone had this issue or have some advise?

I just played through the Scientist career myself, up to rank 6, and I'm not really seeing any problems. Yes, I had to make like 4 Sim Rays and 7 Momentum Converters and 5 Hover Lamps during the earlier career levels, but now that I'm rank 6, and have 12 Breakthroughs, my first task has been to make the Ghost Goo Serum, or Slimify Serum, or Wormhole Generator. Newer Breakthroughs that I haven't already made several times. It appears as if I've moved up to the next "set of goals", which is what I would expect to see.

If anyone is still seeing something differently, I would love to see your save file! Thanks!

Merged your post with existing thread which was deemed as By Design but yours sounds a but more extreme.

If so, please zip up this folder: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves and drop the file to this Mediafire-Link to upload.

Please make sure to name the zip file with your user name.

What career rank are you? You might need another promotion or two to unlock the regular task of making a SimRay

Scientist level 5.. She eventually made the simray, but every time shes goes to work she has to make another momentum conserver or synthetic food..

As you can see in the pictures, she has other serums she can make, but the tasks don't tell her to?

I believe the last time I tested this I didn't get a new "set" of tasks to invent newer things until I hit rank 6. If you get a promotion, are you still being asked to make the momentum conserver or synthetic food every day?

Yes, she is now level 9, almost 10. and its still telling her to make the momentum conserver and synthetic food, and sometimes even the hover lamp too.
