After all - Katrina Caliente is lab-grown via cloning....why not meat? I'm trying to think of vegan-friendly workarounds that would mean the Sims team wouldn't need to change anything in-game.
And it's not like animal slaughter is part of gameplay (apart from fish, crickets, and whatever werewolves get up to).
I'm enjoying the new chef hustle pack, but my vegan sim can't complete the appliance wiz aspiration because they can only prepare 4 of the 6 necessary prepped ingredients... if the meat is lab-grown, it takes that number up to 5 😉
@gertie47 I haven't got that far yet I'm still designing the kitchen. But can you not use meat substitute instead or just cook with/prep meat for the challenge and then have the Sim not eat what they've prepared?
- gertie472 years agoSeasoned Veteran@simsplayer818 My vegan sim (and self) would find it unethical to prepare meat for others. And the prepped meat-substitute and the prepped meat are for different recipes.
The only prepped ingredients a vegan sim can prepare are lactose-free batter, dough, prepped veggies, and meat substitute. But you must make 6 unique prepped ingredients for the appliance wiz aspiration.- simsplayer8182 years agoHero
@gertie47Ah right I see, I'm with you now. So that needs to be addressed at some point then, I'm surprised that's been missed. I'll not attempt it with a vegan Sim then. But that doesn't help your problem unfortunately.
You could see if there's a meat wall/plant in the Gallery maybe 🤔 as @PipMenace has already mentioned, if you don't have a Sim in the Civil Designer career.Edit: I've tested this now and find that I can prep a Meat Substitute. It can only be used for certain recipes though.
