Can we PLEASE just stop updating and adding to the game.

I won't even play Sims 4 anymore, the updates are too frustrating. I've been switching between Sims 2 and 3 if I really want to play Sims. As a content creator, I certainly won't stream Sims 4, especially, with the game breaking all the time; I've had ideas for challenges and legacy save files whether for myself or to share, but I 100% do not trust my game to stay safe and sane when every 2 weeks Schrödinger's sim might not be alive.

stop updating this game. every time you do, you guys break the game. Stop doing it. omg it’s an update every 2 weeks. this is not fortnite. Please stop and leave the game alone. i cannot stress this enough, stop updating and breaking my game. you guys make it unplayable and it’s genuinely awful. the sims doesn’t need an update every other week. Please for the love of god. Stop. Updating. This. Game. this is not what the people wanna see bruv, go home and leave the sims alone omg. I cannot do it anymore. omg.

I think you should try and find a different game to play, because they are going to keep updating this game for many more months, I for one would like them to continue updating the game and fine tuning things in response to feedback. The game doesn't break every single update and as a long time player I can say that while there are some annoying bugs. They are free to update their game as much as they please and will continue to do so for as long as players are asking for new features and giving feedback.

I play a lot of different games actually. I just love the sims. (Used to love it). This is the ONLY game that has updates to fix previous updates that was to fix another update. Its a bit ridiculous at this point. They don't fine tune anything, its worse with EVERY update. 

I have to disagree with you on that simply due to the fact that my experience is different from yours and when they patch the game I check to see if what they have done in patches actually does work and 80% of the time it does work. Yes there have been times when the game is extra buggy but they do fix a fair amount of those issues. Again I think you just need to move on from The Sims 4 as they are going to continue to update it.

This just an idea. What if EA created a version of the Sims 5 or whatever they want to name it, one game with several sub versions  instead of trying to cram many play styles into one game. I think that one of the reasons that the game glitches so often is that many different features that are meant to please many different kinds of player prefrences are incorporated into one game.. Other types of game genres only focus on one type of game play and that is why they don't have as many glitches.. 

So instead make a version of the game that has several sub versions, for example one version for people that like realistic game play, another version that focuses mostly on builders, and maybe another that gives players that like the supernatural what they like. Maybe doing it this way would make for less DLC for just one game, at the same time still be profitable while pleasing players that have different play styles.. Just an idea..

I mean that's basically what optional Expansions are for already. You don't have to have all these things in your game if you don't want them in your game. If you do then you can purchase the DLC you want that has that specific feature. The Sims has always been a Dollhouse life-simulation game, that comes with making your own Sims, houses and stories through gameplay. You can already focus on having a gameplay style with realistic gameplay if you wish. You just don't add on the DLCs that take away from the realistic aspect. Making sub versions of a game like you suggest would take longer to make than Expansion Packs already take.

It just that from what I have observed one mega version (like the Sims 4 base game lately), after many types of DLC (Eps, GPs, SPs, etc) tends to become this enormous mess that has to be updated constantly, has a lot more code added to the base game with every new DLC regardless of play style, which means more glitches for everyone.. When the Sims 4 started it had a much smoother performance which was logical, given it was less complex.. 

However, go forward almost 12 years, there are more and more, bugs, glitches, the laundry lists get longer, and longer, so much more complicated.. Why? becase the Sims 4 or previous versions of the Sims are like 20 different games in one! Each play style has a different set of dynamics which complicates the game more.. 

I was thinking, what if there was a version of the Sims or any other life simulation game that had several sub versions. The core would be uniform such as the art style, and build style.. However, each sub version and it's DLC would be designed to support features that each play style demands.. A realistic player, play style sub pack might finally have that mall, or hotel,  plus those feaures might be able to be developed further without too many compromises.. The same would be for another sub game featuring activities such as skiiing or cars that can be upgraded to race cars. Animal lovers might finally get a zoo. See the posibilities that specialiation can provide.. 

Yes, it may be more complex to organize, but it could mean that the Sims community might be better served, since many players like certain feature more than others..  (less glitches in the long run) Plus more jobs would be possible with teams devoted to different sub games. Players can decide between sub games, which might be cheaper, than one large mega game that in it's entirety is very expensive. Some people don't pick and choose DLC, they like to own everything..

Either model of the game has pros and cons, but lately, the Sims 4 has become a behemoth that EA just can't control, no matter how many times they fix the game.. Maybe working with smaller units might be a good work around... Again, it is just an idea, the ones that know best are the computer gurus in charge of production..

You are so money hungry it’s insane. You charge OVER 2000 dollars for all of your packs and expansions. Now you want to charge us for mods? The only thing that makes the game enjoyable? You update the game constantly but take YEARS to update anything we actually ask for. Updates once a month are insane!!! You don’t care at all about the people who play the game you only care about the money that comes into it. THOUSANDS of people are talking about quitting if you charge for mods? You’re money hungry but not smart at all. You clearly need some business tips. So let me help. If you made the packs cheaper; more people would buy them, giving you MORE profit. DONT charge for mods and cc. The less people playing the game the less money you’re going to make in the future.
