Hello there!
I've been trying to find a way to change the keybinding for the Sims 4 for a while now and there is apparently no options, not even mods for this.
There is two issues with the keybind with the sims 4:
1: You can't view what keys do what. To know the keybinds and shortcuts you need to find the information online. All games, even those before sims 4 came out, at least have a place in the menu to let you know what the controls are. I don't think this is something that would be hard to have in the game menu.
2: You can't change the shortcuts or controls at all. I personally want to change the free camera controls because I find them extremly counter intuitive and it make the tool extremly annoying to use. But outside of personal preferences, people with disabilities or mobility restriction could really benefit from the possibility to adjust controls for their needs. Considering The sims want to be portrayed as an inclusive game, how come this was overlooked?
Honestly, why is it not an option yet? What good reasons could there be to not have such a basic tool? It's not like it is a niche thing, pretty much all games have this possibility, even cheap 5$ graphic novel have keybinds options. Is there a way we simmers could convice EA to implement this?
