Constant Fires (Reason unknown)

Please use this thread if you have constant fires but you are unsure why.

    Hi all,

    This thread has been moved into the feedback section as this has been determined to be by design. Fires will frequently break out if you have broken appliances on your lot and water on the floor. 

    If you're seeing issues with fires breaking out and you do not have broken appliances or water on the floor, please create a new bug thread here so we can investigate further.

    For the past two or three months, unless I remember to use the fire_toggle_enabled cheat, there are random fires on any lot my sims are on, residential or commercial, multiple times per in-game day. They nearly always originate from light sources.

    Fires starting out of nowhere.

    Luck, balance and imbalance are turned off.

    My sim who is level 10 cooking is using the stove you unlock from the science career. I have now tried to make pancakes 3 times in a row and it catches on fire every time :(. I had this issue for a while with the toilet from the science career, every time one of my sims used it it caught on fire. Is anyone else having these issues? Are the career unlocks just unusable? I have no mods installed.

    It still happens for me, my Sims will just not have pancakes for breakfast anymore.

    The stove I use is unbreakable and there are no puddles on the floor. So I think there is something else going on with those specific appliances from the science career.

    The toilet still catches on fire sometimes despite not having the compost upgrade.
