Cross-platforms from console to PC

I am a dedicated Sims 4 player for years. Been playing since the start of Sims 1. Not going to lie, I still wait the day that the Sims 4 allows you to move from console to PC without having to restart or lose all your packs and kits. It would be a dream. Especially now that the game has personal details of each of their players saved in their user account. I am considering moving to PC, but probably will not download the Sims 4 game again if I do in fact move over to PC, I am even eyeing the idea of moving towards a similar game which has recently released instead of redownloading the Sims on PC for this reason. I feel that the Sims 4 could stand to lose a lot of the customer base for the same reason. It is not as if I and other players will stop purchasing new packs that are released, no? So I do not understand why we cannot have our packs/kits moved to other platforms in this day and age?

  • Plushy_Nat this is a common complaint here but unfortunately it's not really under the control of EA and it's not limited to the Sims franchise. Console content is a totally different product to PC content and is not compatible. It's also licensed and sold by different competing companies, Microsoft and Sony. It's not even transferable between PS and Xbox. It's not that EA doesn't allow it, it's not actually possible due to it's format. The base game is free however, but it's DLC from console won't work on a PC.
