Personally I'm unhappy about the timed Event/Rewards thing they're trying out. If they wanted to reward us for playing the game, then it can be done other ways!
Here's one example;
-Rewards for amount of hours played, So for 'X' amount of accumulated hours a reward is unlocked, then a further 'X' hours and the next is unlocked. nobody misses out just some might be further ahead then others.
I really do enjoy the game, but I'm not liking how the potential direction this might go, Its too close to micro-transaction / Mobile game like, where it really pushes you to play every day.
Like many of you I'll play solid for a few days/weeks but then I'll burn out and not play for a while. even if doing sims adjacent things like watching YouTube vids of others play.
Either way, I don't think this will have any impact, but while this timed log-in rewards thing runs I'm just not going to log in. They can take their recolors, traits (or what ever that thing is), items and put them in a dusty cupboard. Who knows If enough of us do the same maybe It will make a difference? One to a direction we can all agree with.

It doesn't surprise me that logging in a mandatory number of times to get a free reskinned object doesn't exactly strike some people as "fun."
