I have had a sim die from laughter in my game last year.
My lawyer that lives in San Myshuno with his novelists wife collapsed from laughing while watching TV.
I had to plead with death to revive him because he is in my main save/storyline.
This gimmick/ emotional state works fine for NPC's but not for my favorite households.
Yeah Grim didn't listen. HIs wife is a spellcaster but I didn't want to resurrect him and deal with the widow, grieving and all that stuff. So I just exited without saving. I "usualIy" save every time they go to sleep but since this last update causing the game to crash all of the time that has been iffy. I have zero problems with it happening to npcs as I can't stand 98% of them anyway. But for played households we should be able to disable it considering watching tv, joking with each other, taking a darn bubble bath and whatever else can easily cause them to die of laughter.
I agree with you but this is the game. The Sims 4 is still a game that you have to beat like any other game and I prefer a first person shooter...but I also like playing with life and that's why I play sims 4 for now...I'm really itching to go back to more graphic violent games but those games don't relax me...I just get more worked up unless I'm playing with friends.
