It's not a solution by any means, as you would need to purchase the High School Years pack, but only putting important relationships on Social Bunny helps to maintain those relationships. Friendship and romance go up almost too fast with strangers, but with family and close friends, it is pretty realistic.
@gertie47 That's something I hadn't tried. I tend to disable Social Bunny as the posts weren't realistic. But it makes sense for my current Sim. So I'll give that a try too. Good idea.
