I am having this issue as well. I've been playing since the original Sims. I know Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits exist. I pick and choose the ones that I want in my game. I know how to access them in the app. I know how to buy them from Amazon, I know how to access them from the main menu. I do not need to be told about them yet again while I play.
Plus it's hard to impossible to focus on the game with the notification constantly pulsing. I have spent thousands of dollars on the Sims over the past two decades, but why would I spend more money on a game that won't even let me play it?
