- Simfalls12 months agoSeasoned Traveler@LadyAofPineapple Yes, it's horrendous. If you have visual problems like astigmatism or neurodivergent conditions that cause you to hyper-focus or are just easily distracted by stuff like that, I recommended not to update.

I have autism and I can't stand constantly blinking things. It is bad enough that the calendar icon is constantly blinking, now this?
No, this is unacceptable!
And plus, there is a reason why I choose to not buy certain packs! So this horrendous new icon is not gonna magically change my mind.
Please, for the sake of players who have certain disabilities, PLEASE make the blinking stop.

- LadyAofPineapple12 months agoSeasoned Ace@Simfalls omgosh this is horrible news. Indeed I am neurodivergent, but I also have anxiety and get migraines. This is one of the few games I use to relax, and there goes that!

I have astigmatism and this thing is the absolute worst!! I have numerous eye conditions, and playing sims is usually hard enough without obnoxious clutter pulsing in the corner!!!!! I've only played with it on my friends computer, as I have no interest in updating my game and/or playing it until this issue is fixed.

@LadyAofPineappleTurn off your Social Features in Game Options>Other and for me that stopped the flashing. It unfortunately means no Gallery until there is a resolution for this but at least it's worked. Restarting the game without doing this first did not work unfortunately but got there eventually.
- LadyAofPineapple12 months agoSeasoned Ace@simsplayer818 Thank you so much! I haven't yet updated my game (I went offline yesterday) but I did turn off the social features in the event EA forces me to reconnect before they reverse this forsaken decision. Thank you so much for pinging me, though!! 🙂 We gotta stick together since apparently having a disability makes us all "less than." I should know this by now, but alas, still painfully learning how much some people couldn't care less.
