The flashing needs to be removed entirely, not just reduced in frequency. At the very least there needs to be an option to permanently turn it off in the settings. This is an accessibility issue.
It's common for software to have the option to reduce motion in the UI as an accessibility setting (both Android and Discord have it to name just two); it's unacceptable for The Sims to be introducing a flashing icon like this that could trigger people who have photosensitivity and/or other conditions that will be negatively affected by this flashing effect without any option to turn it off.
Even just watching Sims content on YouTube about the update today with this flashing happening on screen was triggering my headaches, which is why ideally it should be removed altogether rather than just an option - this isn't just something that will affect individuals in their own personal game, but anyone who wants to engage with video content about The Sims 4. At best it's annoying, at worst it can cause aggravation of real health problems and disabilities.
