I don't play them as sporty Sims and they're all different sizes still. I take the athlete aspiration away and they don't follow it but as the creation trait they are still left with it, most of them don't even exercise much. Mostly occasional swimming but that's all. They're not all super skinny as I wouldn't like that and they're not actually sporty in life. For me it's literally just stopped the sizes changing the way they were so I'm in control. But as a console player I can't use Mods or Cheats unfortunately. So it's the only option I've found for console. Hopefully someone will know of a mod that can help on PC for you and we can cover all bases until hopefully devs take a look at it 🤞.- SqueamishNerd2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@simsplayer818 Hopefully someone who works on the sims will actually see this thread and take it higher up so that there eventually will be an option to turn this system off. I feel like it can be kinda triggering for some people (for example with EDs) to see their sim gain weight from eating just salad.
As you say, one option for console is to pick the High Metabolism trait. Another option would be to change their fat and muscle sliders back with cas.fulleditmode every now and then (that's how I do it currently, it's very, very tedious though). Even though I'm currently trying to find a mod for it, it's very difficult to find a mod that does exactly what I want, as in turning this system off completely, for all sims. With MCCC it can only be done per sim, and I have way too many sims for it to be realistic to go fix this with every one of them. Also, currently my hard drive is almost full, so even if I find a mod I might not be able to install it 😅- Moozilla132 years agoSeasoned Ace
I agree this either needs tuning or an option to turn off completely. The way it is now, not only does it make it frustrating to play rotationally, since sims change physique every time they're left to their own devices, it takes away the fun of getting to have your sims try new food options in different worlds, etc, since you know they'll pay for it in instant weight gain if you don't force them to exercise after every meal/snack/drink (which sort of defeats the purpose of vacations and parties, and I also agree could be potentially triggering for people who have struggled with EDs).
