Im having the same issue and its so frustrating, my sim also has magical resonance and master duelist + virtuoso, she has familiar active, very confident moodlet and still loses every single duel, i even tried casting hexes on opponents first but doesn't make a difference lol it makes the perks and duels feel pointless i hope it gets a fix
