This is currently functioning as designed
Calling it terrible design would be the understatement of the day after the week of failures with the patch & hotfixes. Proper design is to respect player choices and keep the settings until players change it. Not force a setting nobody asked for and not save any changes.
Do the devs still work on the assumption that saving every setting would somehow bloat the settings file? The one thats around 6 kb in size right now. Why cant the design save OUR choices?
I havent updated yet and Im already facepalming at the changes.
So, I updated the game finally. Took me awhile to find out which mods prevent me from reaching the main menu and then another tiny mod that caused menus to glitch. Now that the game is working again I took a look at the gallery. Now there are all default maxis sims on the front page. This got to be the single dumbest design decision Ive seen so far and maxis had some of the dumbest ideas in the gaming industry.
