I try hard to stay positive about Sims changes, but this one I can't honestly. Loading gallery results is generally slow, and now I'm stuck with seeing 10+yr old stale content every single time, instead of the cool things folks are coming up with for newer content. It's a massive discredit to the game itself as well as to the community.
While in theory people can swap to the newest view - the reality is that a quick look at the downloads/favorites on new content make it incredibly obvious that isn't happening. That alone is discouraging to folks who make things to share.
Additionally, it's incredibly frustrating for someone who actually uses their library and uploads content.
The library defaulting to the same thing is a whole new level of frustrating. Working with the same lot? Gotta wait on order refresh. Want to double check an upload? Gotta wait on order refresh.. etc etc.
I honestly can't think of a single time I have ever gone through my own library looking for what the most popular download is... especially when it's the most popular based on gallery downloads.
If the goal was to discourage folks from uploading to the gallery - it's definitely accomplishing that. If it wasn't, please reconsider this and fix it.
