Agreed. My sims are sooo rich and the only way they can flaunt that to the rest of the world is by having a driveway full of bicycles...
You can add cars from the debug menu with these cheat codes:
bb.showhiddenobjects bb.showliveeditobjects
I'm on console (Xbox series X) and for me they don't appear on a debug search. I have to scroll through everything in Show All in build mode to find them. It takes a while but there are loads of vehicles scattered through the items. They can't be driven of course but they can be placed on driveways and in garages.
