Is adding inventory space to fridges in the works

I was trying to add fish, vegetables and bunch of ingredients and couldn't because the fridge only holds so many items.. Would like to see inventory space increased so we can have everything our sims need to make any meal they want using any ingredients.. Something like a folder system where you would have one for fruits and so on.. Think this would be a great addition to the game.. We can shop for food and fill our fridges with the best ingredients..

  • I use the simple living lots challenge for the majority of my sim households and their fridges are always overstuffed with ingredients including things from their garden, prepped ingredients and meals and I’ve never run into a limit. Though having the fridge more organized would definitely be helpful.

Do you play on computer or console? If you play on computer and are you using any mods? Just wondering if the limit you are experiencing is mod related. Or if you do play on console, perhaps it handles fridge inventory differently than for those who play on computer.

    Best regards,

@Deadly2469 If you have Eco Lifestyle, there's a storage object that looks like a cardboard box that you can label and has it's own separate inventory. I'll usually store veggies and fruits (as they don't spoil) in these chests to free up fridge space leaving only the ingredients with a spoil timer in the fridge.

Discover University also has a storage chest that performs this same function that you can label and it has a separate inventory.
