It's not ratings but it is informative and players can and do give their honest opinions.
The forum isn't helpful though. For example, I've been playing the Sims franchise since Sim City back before The Sims was dropped 25 years ago. Most of my friends are simmers, sim youtubers, etc. Not a single person I know comes to EA Forums until after their game breaks (if at all). People need to be able to see tiered reviews for every single DLC BEFORE they buy on the same platform that they are purchasing it. Especially if that platform is the official place to purchase. I've been reading the EULA and realizing several extremely predatory practices and there is no way to protect future simmers because there is no way to reach them on the EA platform.
