Sims 4 for me. I played Sims 3 on PC for a while but had to switch to console with technical problems with laptops but also because I've had disability issues and started with problems with my hands around age 20, the controller is easier for me and so is a 50inch screen.
What that meant was that I missed out on so much with Sims 3 because the console version was basic. I did get the Sims 3 Pets game separately too and that was better than Sims 3 on console. The colour wheel was exceptional on Sims 3 pets. You could actually see the textures of different metals and fabrics. I miss that. I liked the playable pets and the quests they could go on too and my favourite Sims pet of all time, Buttercup Rattlebag was in Sims 3 pets.
But Sims 4 has so much more on console since we get the packs now, at the same time as PC. It is a massive game to run on console and there are compromises to make on storage, it takes regular game maintenance to stop it lagging and crashing. But it just doesn't compare in terms of content for console players. Once horses were added it became my favourite Sims game (overtaking Bustin Out).
The one thing I'm missing is the colour wheel though.
@simsplayer818 , wow, we have talked about how much you loved Bustin' Out , so I know it is high praise for Sims 4 to have overtaken that game! 🥳 And as a console player, I can easily see how Sims 4 is a better console game than the Sims 3 console version was. I had both the Sims 3 PC version and the Sims 3 console version (I also had the Sims 3 Pets!) I miss the color wheel too, but I had so many colors and patterns saved on it that it slowed my game down a lot, to where I didn't like going into Build/Buy Mode or CAS! Still, it was my favorite thing about Sims 3! 😅
