This issue has been determined to be functioning as designed currently.
Please feel free to provide your feedback here if you feel we should revisit this design choice.
Let me jump back on the bandwagon 🙂. I DID notice a fix, but it was very short lived. At this point, the action needs to be dialed back and or tied to an actual purpose. Ex: Why aren't they able to summon Alice and her kids once they've established a good relationship? Idk, remix it lol. As of today it's back to deteriorating solid relationships and even with the like and skill of Thanatology in common between the sims.
Maybe it is just me but it sure seems like nobody is listening to us. I have quit playing my family because it is just too tedious to be constantly frustrated and put out by this "functioning by design" but no purpose I can find nonsense. The only thing this determination has done is to reinforce my decision not to spend any more money on this game until the content I already own functions properly and the game is more fun than frustrating. I mean, that is rather the point of "a game" is it not? And apparently they are not even going to have the decency to tell me how to remove the thanatology skill from my sims so they are playable again. I'm not going to mess up my clean game install by using a mod to do it so I am just borked I guess.
