Alien abduction: impregnate. Over the top

So I find it very bizarre that your sim can be abducted and made pregnant - that's essentially an illegal act in the real world that they've put in this game in the guise of "aliens did it".

  • That has seriously been a staple of the franchise since Sims 2. Are you just ragebaiting? It is just a quirky way to introduce the occult in-game.

  • If this is something you want to avoid, stay away from objects and careers related to space. The telescope, observatory, and that antenna thingy trigger abductions. Also the scientist career and astronaut career. Basically anything that allows you to go to Sixam.

If abductions are happening in your game and you're not involved with any of those, check your relationship panel. You may be friends with an alien or flirted with one in a bar.

Aliens apparently don't follow the same morals as other Sims. Feel free to build a fence around their pool while they're inside. Not that that's legal irl either......

  • Yeah and the Vampires shouldn't be biting people without their consent. You should be able to reason with the Werewolves into not attacking. Zombies shouldn't be thinking about other peoples brains so much without their permission.  Let's put the Spellcasters into time out for cursing people.

No, your admitted rage doesn't mean everyone else rages at this being pointed out, hence not "rage bait".

It's a bit fascinating that people defend what is called "abduction" that you are then r***d and even made pregnant against your will.

Instead, for example, get abducted and then get a high relationship status with an alien sim that really likes you after the fact that you can pursue or ignore? There you go.

A sim creator doing something (fencing off a pool) is not the same as another sim murdering your sim in the game and hence letting your sim go around murdering other sims, let alone going around impregnating them.

A vampire sim "sucking blood" but never killing is hardly the same as the vampire sim impregnating another sim against her will.

Werewolves doing their 'beating you up' but not killing you is hardly the same as the werewolf impregnating another sim against her will.

Never saw this before in my game and when it happened, it made me realize it's in effect impregnating another sim against her will.

So what if it's been in the game: maybe people didn't put 2 and 2 together for what's really happening and it needs to finally get changed.

But on the plus side, I'll have my sim have her baby and raise her baby and not kiII her baby due to the circumstances in how her baby was conceived. Why punish her baby over what the sick, twisted father did? At least the game gets that part right and it would take an external edit from the player to change that.

ReflectedLite, it just a game and does really reflect real life. Btw, I say that as a survivor of what you are insinuating and DO NOT believe it to be similar to that. The occult can also impregnate male sims that would not become pregnant under normal circumstances. There are ways to control the chance of it happening that another person listed on this thread. Btw, I actually have not had it happen in-game for almost 3 real life years. When I do the things that raise the chance of the quirky occurrence, I actually am not upset that it happens.

There are caffeine free brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.

Aliens only impregnate male Sims unless you've modded your game. So clearly this is a medical procedure and not forced "woohoo". They do seem to choose Sims who are sympathetic to their cause. Perhaps the aliens are doing this to prevent their race from dying out. Not everyone abducted comes back with a baby, so perhaps they do ask permission. You also get to choose whether to keep the baby or send it back to Sixam.

If you have a female pregnant by aliens, check your mods or MCCC settings. It shouldn't happen in a vanilla game. I never allow it in my game because it is reminiscent of more disturbing things. Check also for the things I listed below, because normally you have to seek this situation out. It's actually pretty rare. Another thing you can do is lock your doors at night. If your Sim can't leave the house, they can't be abducted.

It sounds like you are using the situation that happened in your game to tell a more serious story. You should write it up and let us know how your Sim handles this new situation in her life.
