I just think the child sims have more potential to be a bit more detailed and have more options for customization, just for the sake of it being a bit more real. Or maybe a new preteen life stage could be added to make more sense for when the child sims age up.
I would like both tbh since GRT growing together the kids got a little more detailed but I would like to expand on that like more after school activities like ballet, karate, gymnastics, soccer.

I would love a Preteen lifestage because as I've been saying it's the the Brady Bunch going from Cindy and Bobby to Marcia and Greg and forgetting about Jan and Peter. That jump between kid to teen just did not look right ever since I played the Sims 2. I hope they make a preteen lifestage if not this game then I. Project Rene.
