My opinion and observations of Sims Delivery Express and the shopping tab
Hello to all.
I'm going to give some background on myself. I've built and upgraded computers, worked in hospitals, machine shops, and a lot of other industries. I have a broad understanding of a lot of things. I'm fifty-five years old, so I have a lot of experience. I'm not specialist in anything, but my thoughts might help EA Games and Maxis. Here it goes.
The Sims Delivery Express can download while someone is playing. But, if any gaming system or PC doesn't have the hardware to run things in the background, the game is nearly unplayable. The same goes for the situation if someone doesn't have a fast internet. Massive frame rate issues, programming won't load or register outcomes properly. Also, the players have to restart the game in order to have the updates loaded and registering things properly. The Sims Delivery Express is more of a hindrance than a benefit.
Now the shopping cart symbol in the upper right corner of the screen while people are playing the game. The above situations apply. If a person is having trouble with their internet and/or the gaming system or PC doesn't have the hardware to run this program running in the background, the game is going to perform badly. There are going to be bugs, glitches, and malfunctions. I perfectly understand that EA Games and Maxis need to make money to survive and thrive. I've worked in numerous industries to know this. No profit? No company. But, these programs are overloading the gaming systems and personal computers, which makes your game and down loadable content frustrating and undesirable. This is a fact of computer science, you have numerous things running in the background or internet connection issues, things are going to malfunction or run slowly. This is a fact of running a business, you have unhappy customers, they are not going to purchase or use your services.
In summary? The Sims Delivery Express and this shopping tab that is checking the DLCs that I have, while playing is ruining your sales I've seen numerous bugs, glitches, malfunctions, and framerate issues since they were added to the game. My suggestion is that you remove these programs that are only damaging your game and customer satisfaction. I understand that EA Games and Maxis need to advertise, every business does. But, your advertising and ease of access is ruining your game and by extension your customers' desire to be your customers. I truly believe that you should remove these interfering programs. Keep the advertising on the main screen where players resume their games. The Sims 4 has so many things going on already while people are trying to enjoy your products. It can't handle anymore things running in the background.
Personally, I really like the Sims 4 and a decent amount of the things that you have created. But, with all of the problems that I've seen your company create? I really don't feel comfortable purchasing anymore DLCs. But, that is me.
Either way? I'll leave you to it. My best wishes to all.
