My Wedding Stories, Wedding Reception Event, 'Drinks' activity missing
Hello 🙂, I'm trying to plan a separate, post-ceremony, wedding reception, using the 'Reception' event, through the calendar, and the 'Drinks' activity does not appear in the list of available activities for a reception event even though one of the available roles to fill is a mixologist??? I realise cultures may vary but I would definitely expect 'Drinks' to be an available activity at a Wedding Reception. Is this a glitch/bug or is it designed that way? All of the online guides I've looked at so far seem to say that the 'Drinks' activity should be available in the reception event.
I've searched this and other Sims forums/Reddit and googled but I can't seem to find any mention of this problem anywhere.
I know I could get around it by including the reception activities in the the Wedding ceremony event (this does have a 'Drinks' activity available but no option to hire a mixologist - go figure! :D ) I did initially try to plan the Wedding and Reception as one single event but, when I did a test run, the MWS bugs took up too much time to fit everything in before the 9 (or is it 10?) hours were up so I want to try scheduling the wedding to finish at 11pm and the reception to start at 12am the next day. As an English person, it would feel completely unrealistic to have a Wedding Reception that didn't include drinking! Ha ha ha! :D
I have all packs and kits except for Goth Galore and Castle Estate. I have never used any mods or cc. I have made sure the game has the latest update. My venue definitely has a bar and I've playtested it with my active sims, with a mixologist hired by my active sim, with a friend of my active sim hired as mixologist and have also seen both my active sim and npcs autonomously using the bar (The 'Drinks' activity at this venue works fine in the Wedding Ceremony event.) I have exited/relaunched the game and reloaded the save, and also deleted the recommended cache and other safe-to-delete files and tried again but it's the same - I'm a relative noob, can anyone help, or is this by design and I'll just have to suck it up?
