Need: Ability to change light brightness and color in Build/Buy Mode

Sul Sul,

Long time Simmer here! I'd like to submit some feedback about build/buy lighting sources in the Sims 4.

Players need a way to change the hue/brightness of lights in build/buy mode.

- The lighting in a room can greatly affect the mood/color/style of the room, and it's necessary to establish the lighting first before placing decor/furniture/paint.

-When building in "Manage World Mode", players have to back out of the build, move in a family, and then go into live mode in order to change the hue/brightness.

-Some light sources (like the Award Plumbob lamps from owning Sims 3, or the lava lamps from Strangerville), have really bright funky colors that make them hard to use in builds.

-In my personal experience, I am unable to use some light sources because the default is the wrong hue or brightness. The process of backing out of the build, moving in a family, etc... is time-consuming.

-I like to create homes and then upload to the gallery, or sometimes I like to reinvent worlds before I start to play with characters. Making players move families into lots in order to change lighting messes with smooth gameplay in this way.

-Also, sidenote, and I'll create another post for this, but since it has to do with lighting: The lighting in basements is buggy. In just about every basement I create, there is an inexplicable dark spot somewhere on the wall of the room that is unaffected by where I place my lighting, upstairs or down, or how many light sources I add. No matter what I try, there is a dark shadow that will not go away. This has been an issue for a long time in multiple builds.

- NOTE: I am a PC user. I have never played on console and I do not know if these issues exist on console.

Thank you for your time 🙂
