Need way to opt out of real time events

Totally agree the last event was buggy for me. Then there’s also the regular stupid events, like even when I cancel neighborhood brawl from the calendar somehow my sims will still whine about how it was awful that they didn’t get to do all the things they wanted to do. 🙄
