The new ability to place plants on roofs is great in theory but now it is making in impossible to place plants on the ground near roofs, even with moveobjects on. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! This base game update actually makes landscaping worse, not better. Also, it is nearly impossible to place plants on curved roofs.
I hope the Sims teams fixes this ASAP!
I have been looking for a post like this all day. I am so frustrated, not only with the fact that I can no longer put plants close to the house, but also the fact that most won't go on the roof, especially curved roofs, when they are said to go on now
I agree. It was great in theory but has now basically destroyed landscaping. If you have a roof that is flush next to a wall, you can't place plants within half a tile of that wall, which looks so weird and isn't how it would actually work. I'm building a house with an exposed walkway between two buildings and I'm trying to do a fence terraced roof to do a resemble a pergola and I can't put plants on it because it "can't intersect with roofs" but pre-update I could totally do that. It is so annoying, so annoying!! It takes away from the fun of the game and building.
