The Sims 4 Expansion Concept – Magic of the 19th Century Hello The Sims Team! I'm a long-time Sims player, and over the past few months I've been working on a fan-made expansion concept that I'd love to share with you. The idea is called Magic of the 19th Century and combines life simulation with a fantasy world inspired by nineteenth-century Europe while staying true to the core identity of The Sims 4. The concept introduces a new world called Drakoria, featuring: 🏰 Six unique kingdoms, each with its own architecture, culture, royal family and traditions. 🐉 Dragon Shapeshifters as a new occult life state. 🧙 A Magic Academy where witches improve naturally through study and practice instead of unlocking abilities with points. 👑 Playable royal families with castles, succession, ceremonies and generational gameplay. 🥚 A unique royal succession system centered around the Golden Egg. 🎉 Dynamic events such as Royal Balls, Dragon Hatching Ceremonies, Wild Dragon Attacks and seasonal festivals. 📖 A strong focus on legacy gameplay, allowing players to build a dynasty across generations. My goal wasn't simply to create new fantasy features, but to design systems that encourage storytelling, family gameplay and player freedom, which I believe are at the heart of The Sims. To support the idea, I've also created an illustrated concept book that includes gameplay systems, world-building, concept art, maps, royal families, UI ideas and detailed design documents. I know the team receives many suggestions, and I don't expect every idea to fit the game's direction. I simply wanted to share this project in the hope that some of these concepts might inspire future content. This project was created purely out of my passion for The Sims. Over time, I developed this concept by imagining an expansion that celebrates generational gameplay, creativity, storytelling, and the freedom that has always made The Sims so special. I understand that not every idea can fit the game's direction or development plans, and I don't expect this concept to be implemented as it is. My hope is simply that it might offer some inspiration for future content and serve as a small tribute to a series that has been part of my life for many years. Thank you again for taking the time to read my proposal and for continuing to create experiences that allow millions of players around the world to tell their own unique stories. Note This concept was created independently by a fan as a creative proposal for The Sims 4. All written content, world-building, gameplay ideas, and design concepts were developed by me. The illustrations were created with the assistance of ChatGPT's AI image generation tools and are intended solely as concept art to help visualize the ideas presented. RoM, V, W , IP, L&D, EbN and GtW all have occults with limited occult specific CAS and Build/Buy. I'd love a stuff pack to flesh out and fill in the blanks for occults. Some of the occult CAS and Build/Buy are merely themed such as Victorian for Vampires and nature inspired for EbN for example. However, the occults themselves could have a larger range of occult specific themes. Edit: Would also highly benefit from Completely Disable Phone Feature & Alternate Computer Option | EA Forums - 12647073. Add missing occult ability trees for Mermaids and Aliens. PlantSims be a permanent occult with an ability tree. More traits that would help occult synergy (Mystical, Disruptive and Macabre are the closest occult friendly traits, if you want to discount the basic Good/Evil traits) Lot traits that encourage each or every type of occult to visit and a trait disallow all occults! Feathered and bat wings for Fairies or even Vampires (but be great if it could be any occult). Missing single bed, fridge, stove, etc. for EbN nature theme. RoM's The Iron Counter needs a cabinet counterpart (drives me nuts I don't have matching cabinets for my favourite counter). Small appliances for various occults/themes. Non-plant/flower nature themed CAS and Build/Buy. Air, fire and water/ice fairy themed attire and Build/Buy would be nice to have different elements Fairies. But these could also transcend to other occults such as Mermaids and Spellcasters. Something to do with Spellcaster all occult extra talent points! Edit, Mar 3rd, 2026: Practical Spellcaster's with Scruberoo use in when Hygiene is low (and/or use instead of "clean up/throw away"), Delicioso when Hunger is low, Floralorial for bugs/weeding, etc. autonomously. Mischief Spellcaster use Mischievous spells ons on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. I am not sure how easily Untamed spellcasters can use their spells autonomously. But at least Chillio for Fires! and Zipzap on disliked/despised Sims autonomously. More occult recipes and foods. I mean there is Soul Soup but it is from Level 5 Thanatology and Level 5 Cooking. As well as Curious Pizza and Alien Fruit Tarts for alien/U.F.O fruit recipes. But really more fantasy cuisine would be helpful for occult themed players. The ability to safely have Hybrid Occults without breaking the game, having multiple ability trees (at least 2). It be really nice if RoM had Glimmerbrook expanded to a 3 neighbourhood world. Maybe even for Vampires and Werewolves too. Alchemy, Herbalism and Apothecary recipes should be abled to be used in both the Cauldron and Apothecary Table. And ALL ingredients should be abled to be stored-linked to storage properly (having insects, frogs, metals, crystals (at least link the CCSP Gemology Table to pull from as recipes pull from the fridge), etc. not linked/stored together is very annoying to pull out of other storages). Familiars could be expanded, that they can change their moodlet buff, have interactions, etc. Add small pets fantasy creatures such as baby dragons. The ability to make any occult Immortal and stop aging. As a special trait. The ability to add the Grim Reaper or Father Winter to family tree (as parent) without breaking the game. More fantasy/alien plants. I love these and really cannot get enough of them. Tabletop Mini Cowplant, and Other Plant Ideas | EA Forums - 12786745 Edit, Apr 21st, 2026: Second form for Spellcasters. As they are suspected to be "disguised", and more Spellcaster type CAS/BB items. Vampire sire family trees (and the ability to edit them). Fairy option/quest/trait to be able to eat normal food to help emotional force. Or at least certain foods like honey, fruit, milk, or even flowers! etc. Turn off werewolf animal form (have have a secondary humanoid form instead to manipulate), I am sorry but the animal form weirds me out to no end, and can't play this occult because of it (I am sure there are mods but I'd prefer a official version so to not worry about game break mods when out of date mods are no longer kept up). If you are not going to add/update your packs where there is missing/wanted features CAS/Build/Buy. Just put it in a pack to expand the occult themes :) Edit, May 10, 2026: Steampunk spellcasters, dragon pets and clockwork familiars, orrery display/zodiacs, and herbalism/apothecary update/expansion. AI render image dump inspiration (my first time trying) lol Edit, May 28, 2026: Occult dueling alternative available option for R&L duels (so either occult or sword dueling). Differing occults dueling spellcaster vs. vampire for example. It would be nice too if certain occults get an advantage over another. Occult Lifestyles SE really could have helped occults act more like occults by earning occult lifestyles. Table Top/Counter Top Cauldron(s) for Alchemy/Apothecary/Herbalism, and Cooking Cauldron (at stove/fireplace/for grill) for Herbalism/Cooking/Grilling. Hoods, Cloaks and Capes for CAS! A non-hidden Realm of Magic World. The sky and lighting effects of the Magic Realm would be great to have as a normal world. It could be just like the Magic Realm with floating islands. We really need more all out fantasy worlds. Edit, May 29, 2026: Rune Marking and Glowing Rune Marking Decor for Floors and Walls. More/better Purple/Violet Swatches for BB. Ornate gold/wood/etc. panels (x1, x2, x3 sizes) as wall decor, so it can be overlayed on wallpapers/paneling/etc. Gold/silver/etc. and Crystal indoor and outdoor BB accent Decor (Art Deco, Victorian and Steampunk themes). Curved Bookshelves and Shelving/Storage Units (and more) for each size (and heights) of curved walls types. More Terrariums (various sizes and styles (and awesome if frogs/insects/butterflies could be displayed in it)), crystals, oddity jars, potion/alchemy clutter, etc. Pinned and Dried Butterfly Display decor, DaVinci styled diagram drawing decor, etc. Table Tarot (activity and/or decor (depending if you have L&D or not)) 3 card spread and Celtic cross spread. Can be placed on tables, desks and counters. Edit, June 18, 2026: I really think—if Sims 4 is winding down—we should get at least a slight update/refresh to occults patch. Even if it is just as a better compatibility (for non-breaking hybrids), more swatches (to occult BB), more occult themed BB and CAS, and some tweaks and upgrades/refreshes mentioned above. Plus for compatibility/attraction needs Mysterious Characteristic added (aka occults)—like what was in R&L ideals. A "kit" may not be enough, but it isn't like we really get full occult/fantasy kits either. So fingers crossed we get some gameplay and features updates/refreshes before the devs walk away from Sims 4, and maybe a few free BB/CAS, and 1-3+ kits—so occult/fantasy themes seem more complete.864Views20likes28CommentsImproving Gameplay Architecture
Proposal: Integrating a Volumetric Grid System with TIN‑Responsive Architectural Deformation in Build Mode I’d like to propose a long‑term structural enhancement to The Sims 4 (or future Sims titles): transitioning Build Mode from its current 2D tile‑based grid to a volumetric (voxel‑based) spatial system supported by TIN‑responsive deformation and an optional adaptive fishnet grid for architectural adjustments. Why This Matters The current Build Mode relies on a 2D grid with discrete height levels. This limits how walls, stairs, platforms, and objects interact because the engine does not track true 3D volume occupancy or continuous surface deformation. A volumetric grid would allow the game to treat build space as a stack of 3D units, enabling more realistic geometry and fewer placement conflicts. Core Components of the Proposal 1. Volumetric (Voxel‑Based) Grid System A voxel‑based grid would allow the engine to understand space as 3D cells rather than flat tiles. This would enable: Accurate stair and railing geometry No more clipping or intersecting railings; the system could generate continuous, properly spaced posts. True wall thickness control Walls could have parametric thickness, affecting: • sound insulation • visual realism • object scaling on or near the wall Cleaner object placement Objects would occupy defined 3D volumes, reducing “cannot place” errors caused by the current 2D grid + bounding box system. 2. TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network) Integration for Architectural Deformation In many digital modeling environments, TINs allow surfaces to deform smoothly based on nearby geometry. Applying this concept to Build Mode would allow: Local deformation of architectural elements When a user thickens a wall, nearby surfaces (columns, trim, mounted objects) could adjust proportionally. Adaptive scaling of attached objects For example: • A thicker wall could cause wall‑mounted objects to scale up slightly • A thinner wall could cause nearby columns or decorative elements to scale down This would create a more organic, responsive architectural system. 3. Optional “Adaptive Fishnet Grid” Toggle for Users To keep the system user‑friendly, players could toggle a setting that activates a fishnet grid — a regular lattice of points that adjusts based on surrounding geometry. When enabled, this would allow: Automatic artifact adjustment The fishnet grid would stretch or compress around modified geometry (e.g., thicker walls), preventing clipping. Environment‑aware object scaling Objects placed on or near modified surfaces would adapt to the new spatial context. More intuitive building for players who want realism While still allowing traditional grid behavior for players who prefer simplicity. 4. Acknowledgment of Technical Scope I want to be transparent that I do not currently have the coding or engine‑development experience to prototype this system myself. My goal is to outline the conceptual framework from a player perspective informed by GIS and modeling principles (e.g., voxel grids, TINs, and adaptive meshes). I fully understand that implementing a volumetric grid with TIN‑based deformation would be a significant undertaking, especially with the need to maintain compatibility with existing builds. 5. Why This Direction Is Worth Considering A volumetric grid combined with TIN‑responsive deformation would: Reduce long‑standing clipping and snapping issues Enable more realistic architectural variation Support future features like curved walls, organic shapes, and advanced object interactions Expand creative freedom for builders Modernize the underlying spatial logic of Build Mode28Views1like0CommentsKealynn love ❤️
I love the sims 4 but they need add more romance and love reactions and parenting and pet reactions more talking and socializing like sitting at a table together, just more reactions in love.Reactions like hugging touching i think not fair for people don't have the electronics to do all those mods an and downloads ideas just need more reactions for the sims4 avatar's an needs more appreciation and it needs the workout for all game consoles. Because for me i play on ps4 i think not fair20Views2likes0CommentsMore options to the gift pile
I want an option to add gifts from a sims inventory to the gift pile. Or like a gift wrapping station where sims could choose the gift, who it goes to, the wrapping paper, and leave a note if they wanted. Then once they’re done it goes into their inventory and they could drag it into the gift pile or just give the wrapped present to the sim. Also more color options for the gift pile would be nice.38Views4likes1Comment
