Currently playing The Sims 2 on one of my old desktops (Gateway with Core 2 Quad) as I'm making this comment and dang, it is WAY less annoying than The Sims 4 is now! The Sims 2 did not have those in-your-face events that ruin the core point of The Sims and make the game unplayable! It's no wonder why the old Sims installments are better, since you can actually enjoy them AS-IS.
While I will admit that I had a very good purpose for The Sims 4, resulting in me taking over 100,000 screenshots (yes, I really have taken this many screenshots) with what I've been doing, I can understand why the older Sims games are WAY more fun overall, and why The Sims 4 just feels like a gimmick, especially now.
